Titus Local

The continent of Africa has one of the fastest growing Christian populations in the world. In 1910 only 12 million people considered themselves Christian, today that number has grown to over 500 million. One out every two Africans claim Christianity but very few people have access to Biblical training. A pastor in Rwanda once said that “the Church in Africa is wide but not deep”. Jesus didn’t command us to only evangelize, but to make disciples – that’s where we come in!

Our ministry is called Titus Local. Our team works year-round in the local Church and runs a Titus Project School every July-September. Our goal is to equip the local Church and Africa with Biblical teaching, training, and discipleship. 2 Timothy 3:16-17 says that “All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work.”

Here are some of the ways we accomplish this goal:

Biblical Foundations for Leadership Seminar (BFLS):
We invite local Pastors and church leaders to a five week course where we teach the Inductive Method through five books of the Bible, with an emphasis on godly leadership. We ran this course for the first time in 2013 and will begin again in May of 2014. We hope to provide this course twice a year.

Bible Studies:
We currently work with 10 local Churches and run Bible studies Monday – Saturday. We teach through different books of the Bible using the Inductive Method; on different topics such as identity in Christ, grace, relationships etc; and Bible Overview. We also partner with other ministries by providing Bible Studies and other requested teachings.

Titus Project School:
The Titus Project School in Muizenberg runs July-September. Because we are based in South Africa, we have a heart for this continent therefore all of our outreaches are Africa-focused.

Past outreach locations have been to: Rwanda, Uganda, Togo, Burkina Faso, South Africa (Western and Eastern Cape) Zambia, Seychelles, and more!
